Dog Days of New York

iberate effort to avoid over-stimulation and exhaustion. Groups are kept deliberately small, capped at around a dozen dogs, and are assembled by temperament first and size second, with at least one staff member present per group at all times. Dog Days of New York offers full-day and half-day daycare, overnight stays, grooming, and training classes. Daycare runs Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm; dogs receiving overnight care are folded into the daycare group during the day and receive at least four walks per 24-hour period, with no unsupervised periods. An optional annual membership unlocks reduced rates and hourly care for members who need a shorter visit. All dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations — bordetella is required every six months per Department of Health regulations — and new dogs undergo a temperament evaluation on their first visit to confirm that group daycare is the right fit. Reservations are required across all services.
